Ardelia You're so Special!!!

Hey guys!

I had an unexpected gathering for my bday yesterday so that's why my post was delayed.
I had a good time just hanging out at home and catching up on some needed gossip lol! jk but nooo yeah there was some done within my sisters and I, lol! We talk about 10 different topics in like 5 minutes and it goes on like that through out the night. It never seems to fail, lol!

Thanks everybody for the warm wishes on FB and emails :) I didn't realize I had so many friends,YEAAAH!!!!!

sadly I didn't get no new crafting gadgets or anything related to crafting but no worries that will be taken care of come CHA, BAAAHAAAA!!!

All right all right to what I came here for.
I have a new creation which is my turn to share for the MIC store blog

I have the gorgeous Ardelia posing for us today.
I wanted to share how I created an undertone color for her skin and hair.

You could get full details on the MIC store blog under my posting but briefly the way I like to do it is a laying the undertone color first and working your way up (meaning top final layer of color of choice)
for instance on her hair I started with RV69  for the undertone so that went on first. Flickering to the center of the lock.
Next blend out with C3 right on the end of the RV69 color. Then flickering C5 on top of RV69 towards the center again and finally small touches of black for deep shading where you wish. If you don't have black you could always use your darkest C or a dark blue works perfectly too!

and here are a few pictures of the after math.

I hope you could swing by my MIC posting so you could get a full detail on my skin tip I shared there too :)
Well that's all for me for now and I'll be back before you know it.
Thanks for taking the time to visit me and the lovely comments.

Have a great week :)

Glistening Scales for Melody

Hi GUYS!!

Long time no post huh?lol!

I just been hiding under a rock for a while. I've been really busy with my kids, creating for CHA,working on DT assignments and pretty much hiding out lol!

Today I get to share a scene that I've been working on for some time now. I kept it simple because the scene is busy as it is.
It was my turn to post on the MIC store blog and my challenge was to create,"Glistening Scales"

What I did was to leave several parts white and enhanced the scales with white Acrylic paint dots.Right under them I used Aqua Stickles from Ranger. Then randomly add some "Stardust" Stickles to the Tail. The copics I used on her tail was BG72,BG10,BG15 and BV00.

This is a picture of just the image before creating a card. The colouring process was done days at a time and it was more than usual because of all the small details and since I'm a mad woman always trying different things. I had to add effects here and there.Uhhh do you like the light coming out the shell.

I had a hard time capturing the glitz on her tail. This is the best I could do sorry.

This is my finish creation. Very simple and finished off with some MIC Laser chipboard Butterfly corner swirls painted and touched with stardust stickles.

Thank you for swinging on by.I have lots of work so I'm out the long list awaits me.
I need some coffee oh yeah coffee will be nice right now.

THANKS FOR THE LOVE((tight hugs))

Have a Sunny Day

Happy Monday!

What a long weekend for me and I'm glad I got some colouring done. Although we did spent our Sunday at the park practically the whole day but of course when don't we!!??? :)

My husband had softball practice and my son had baseball practice right next to each other so that worked out. After that we went straight for some gourmet ice cream,YUMM!

My kids are of
officially out of school today and so I'm asking for prayers that we stay out of accidents this summer ((crossing fingers so tight)) Just in the last two weeks my son was at the hospital due to a head injury at SCHOOL (long story) and last week my baby Sophie fell running to the playground during one of my son's baseball game.
OUCH UUUUH!!!! Yup scraped both knees and her face, nose, top lip and YES,black eye :(

The swollen went down in 3 days and it's starting to look back to normal.
AWWHHHH my kids I tell ya.

Ok well let's carry on :)

On another note it's time for a new challenge at Magnolia-licious Highlities.
Our sweet talented host is my friend Mindy and she wants to see lots of  "WATER"

A water theme creation which could be rain, beach, swimming anything relating to water.

This is what I've done on my part. A little something from variety of collections :)
More details at the bottom.

I colored Water Lily Tilda and the sunrise in the back with copics.

sorry bad picture. I'm gonna have to re-take this one.

All my Magnolia Rubber stamps can be found for ordering or pre-ordering at Magnolia-licious at great prices and make sure to check out their mini duos. Now thats a bargain :)
I used
Magnolia Doohickey Rose leaf

Okie dokie it's time for me to retrieve to my house duties and card making if I have some extra time.
Thanks for stopping by and looking forward to all these water theme creations.
Thanks for your sweet loving comments too.
If I don't reply it's because I'm really tied up but I have you know I do read them and they mean so much to me,Thank you :)

EDITED TO ADD

I seemed to be getting many nice comments and a few emails in regards to my image merging(smiles)

I want to say it's truly very easy.
Here are the first videos I personally watched and has helped me achieved the merging technique.

This is a video from my friend Debbie

Using Paint.Net which is the first software I used since downloading it was free.

Then my laptop broke and got myself a new computer and since it already had word on it.
I decided to learn how to do it on that and this is the video by my friend and boss lady Zoe.

Both videos are easy and fun to follow so go for it!

I also wanted to let you know that MIC Club house and Store Blog has many demos, tips and tricks that you will find useful as we have a variety of talented artist sharing their coloring mad skills and crafting wisdom with us all.
