HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!! You want an eye gum ball?

Happy Halloween!! Well it's about over already lol! I had planned to publish this early but I was caught up in costume #2 for my 4 YO. We went around the neighborhood and to our local library. They had a candy hunt, arts and spooky stories and @ 8pm KIDS WANTED TO DO MORE trick or treating.

We went to Krystalyn's (my teen) friends house since it was quite dark out. We got home got everybody showered and watched a good movie. Right now EVERYBODY is in their second dream except SOPHIA LOL!
I guess the movie is too good.

We had a good night though. The weather was pretty good to us this year. We have too much candy then anticipated. I really doubt we will finish it this year.

Well it's pretty late and I should be heading to bed with my minnie me.
I wanted to share what I have displayed on my kitchen counter :) More eye gum balls lol!

I altered this empty medicine dispenser box. I took it from my Father's store lol! I had plans for something different but I didn't get to it.

Halloween came around the corner and had an AHA moment lol!
Anyways this is what I did featuring my oldie Halloween Tilda. This is #254 Tilda with a Pumpkin and she's available at the Magnolia-licious store in Mini.

and yes colored with Spectrum Noir markers :)

I have a few pictures since it's a decent large box and wanted to give you a glimpse of different angles.

I have flowers on the front panel that opens and closes.

so this is what I have this time. I need to head to bed so I hope you enjoyed my Halloween presentation.

I hope to see you back soon as I have some DT postings coming up.

Thanks for swinging by
hugs and kisses

Those who know me know that I have a problem with typing in CAPS :) YEAH THAT'S ME BEING loud as usual.
Anyways thanks for following and I'm looking forward to getting to know you better.

I was out and late on posting a couple of DT posts on here. I had a weak to none signal from the heavy wind storm we had here but I'm back.
Ok let's start off with Little Darlings Inspiration time.
I brought back an oldie but a goodie. I couldn't resist not inking her up with the Halloween in hype here in the states.

I colored her on Kraft paper with my Spectrum Noir pens.

The Little Darling Inspiration team has the challenge of the month to create something with dies/dyes.
This cute witchy called Trick for Treat is not available on the store but keep checking back you never know when it will appear on stock.
or better yet shoot Angie Hunt an email and she'll inform you the availability of this cutie :)

I created a treat bag mimicking a witches broom. I got the idea online and I saved the picture but I forgot to save the link. I mean it wasn't a tute anyways but just but eyeballing it you get the idea how it was done.
Pretty easy....lunch bag, cut, stick pretzel and tie :) oh yeah make sure your goodies are inside :)

I hope you like my treat and I'll be back shortly to show another just because creation with another Oldie but goodie!
C-YA BACK SOON!!

You Inspire Me!

Ok peeps I'm back with another Saturated Canary Doll. We have a new challenge up with the Saturated Canary Challenge blog. This time around we would like to see shaped cards. No biggie right!

I had SC Hairy Situation colored for a different project and the more I looked at her and her luring eyes. I had to use her for my Breast cancer awareness card.

The only thing I added was giving her tiny pink bows to her locks. Also she is colored with Spectrum Noir pens.

couple of WOC and handmade flowers :)

How about my card stopper!! I've been saving it for a LOOONG time and the day has come where I was able to use it lol!
The Laser Chipboard is from Make It Crafty called Filigree Jewels. I dabbed it with some white Prima chalk ink and then sprayed it with some CC Iridescent spray sparkle. It looks very GLITZ.

OK I'll be back later on with another creation  whohooo!
Oh and go check out what my lovely teammies created for the challenge HERE.

Remember when......

Hello hello!!!
I have the opportunity to squeeze in here early to share a creation following the challenge of this month for Little Darlings Inspiration blog which is Dye/Die it.

I'm showcasing Windy Day Rubber stamp available at the Little Darlings Store HERE.

My only die cute is my sentiment lol! and possibly my laser cut chipboards lol! For the most part of my card is mainly about the coloring. I kept everything else to the minimal as possible.

What a pretty image and so fun to color. Have you noticed that background Oak tree? That tree is one of the older images from the Magnolia line. I thought it paired perfectly and masked it in there.

(KUDOS TO ZOE HERE)

Oh btw this is a no line coloring technique originated from my friend and mentor Zoe.
Our MIC boss lady wanted to color transparent clothing for an upcoming MIC challenge. Well long story short the whole team followed and the technique has become so popular lol! Who would of thought lol! I LOVE using this technique so thank you Zoe for sharing with us your amazing brilliant ideas.
For those looking for a tute. Zoe did do a step by step tute on the Magnolia Ink , Between cherry blossoms and Lilacs

I really think I should stamp her up again and create like a windy background...NO?

I had this card hidden for a while back. I couldn't share it at the time being but I'm so thrilled that I'm able to do it now.

Ok well I hope you enjoyed my card and I have a busy month ahead so I'll be back sooner than you know it. In the mean while I leave you with cutesie and please let me know what you think. I love to read your feedback.

Have a great Day,

Enter If You Dare!!!! Beware I have DT News :)

Well right about now I could relate to the Expression....."When a door closes another one opens", LOL! Well it's my favorite part of the original quote.

YES!!! I have been invited to join the Saturated Canary DT familia!!!!
I have to tell you when I got the message from non other than KRISTA!!! I mean when the actual Illustrator extends an invitation to represent her line of images, THAT'S BIG!!!! To me that's extra special. I couldn't deny her invite without any hesitation lol!

I mean come on, Saturated Canary Images are so freakin cute and who tells Krista, "NO", NOT ME LOL!!

OMG!! I couldn't stop smiling and FULL OF EXCITEMENT WAS AN UNDERSTATEMENT!

I was doing the GANGNAM STYLE all day long, lol!

I also have the privilege to design with a gorgeous bunch of talented ladies :) some I already know and others I can't wait to know more about, yeah!!!

I still have butterflies in my stomach just thinking about it ha ha!

Anywhoo I've been struck by my severe ugly migraines the past days. I had to tell Krista I wasn't going to be able to debut this weeks challenge. I just didn't have the will power to get up from bed.
Let me tell you guys migraines are no fun, specially when you have to take care 3 little ones and a teen. For those who have chronic migraines can probably relate with me and know how bad it feels.

Oh yeah back to what I was saying..... the night before the SC challenge went up live.
I said, ACK.... let me try to jump in and see if I complete a card lol!
I always thought I work best at the last minute and under pressure. Is that weird at all?

So I colored Elphie and btw she is available on the Saturated Canary online shop, a must have. Do you see how fun her hair is!!??
I personally think Elphie's  hair is great Image for beginners to practice their layering technique.

Krista made it so easy for us by giving her a light layer and yet gorgeous straight SEMI wavy hair. So If you want to start learning to do the whole pleating thing on hair.
This is your image, just my opinion :)

I colored her the night before and the MIC Spooky Graveyard background scene the next day in the morning. I whipped up a card in no time and whala this is what my interpretation from the Inspiration picture for this challenge.

I try so hard getting a close up of her face. You can't see it well but she has a green undertone. The bottom of her dress is my FAVORITE color , it's like a cadet blue. Almost like a blue grayish and with a tiny tiny of green tone. I don't know how else to describe it lol! My scene was colored with my Spectrum Noir pens and you could find them right HERE.

I use this color a lot in my coloring if you notice  :) but I had hard time getting the colors to surface on the pictures. It kept getting a wash look and light coloring when it's really darker lol!  Oh well ....
NEEEEED A NEW CAMERA THAT CAN FOCUS UGH!!!

OH OH I also colored on my Martha Stewart white lace ribbon with my Spectrum noir markers to coordinate. I colored right on top with BT4 and colored the trim edge with BGR1. That combo is the result of my favorite color too btw :)

That's all folks so If you have a moment to check out the rest of the team HERE. Please swing on by and leave them some love. Hopefully you get a chance to play with us too.

Enjoy the weekend and wish my son's team good luck please! He has his baseball championship game tomorrow morning for 1ST PLACE!!!! He might be the closing pitcher. Maybe not since he starting pitcher last week. NERVES ARE KILLING ME! TTYL :)

Fighting For The Cure!!

Welcome to my blog and thanks for taking your time to come and see what I'm up to these days.

Today is a very special Hop for the Magnolia-licious DT .

I am very excited to get you started and off on your way to the next designer. Now first If you are coming from my lovely friend Mary's blog then your right were we want you at :)

The Magnolia-licious DT wants to help promote awareness/early detection and share what this Think Pink Month is about with ALL women!  We also want to honor all of those women that have or are currently fighting this disease and show our support in the fight!!  To show our support the DT has planned our own “Think Pink” Celebration and we hope you can all join in.  Each DT gal has created some Sweet-PINK treats and PINK Packaging to match using those beautiful Magnolia images.  You can find some Magnolia stamps that were created specifically for Pink Ribbon Awareness at Magnolia-licious <HERE>   So have fun hopping along to see all the fabulous Pink-a-licious Creations and make sure to stop back by the Magnolia-licious Highlites Blog to join in on the fun too!

I had a blast creating this set and the stories behind the scenes that came with them is unforgettable!!!

I baked pink cupcakes and topped with my "special pink whoop cream". Don't ask me why my kids and myself have pink teeth. It was an ugly mess but I would do it again for sure lol!

Onto the deets of the project.
I colored this time with my DI and I am featuring Tilda with Pink Rose and Boxing Tilda. You could find them available at the Magnolia-licious store NOW!
I have a few Magnolia Doohickey Dies going like my Swirly Butterly and Dream Tag.

Everything is so sparkly specially when I used this all glitter pink paper. So it's more than the usual :)

Here is my Card with Boxing Tilda.....you likes? Uhhh I had to color in a pink ribbon on her shirt. Her shorts are paper pieced with that pink glitter paper I had mentioned.

That's it for now but before I send you to my other gorgeous friend Janiel.

Tilda wants to share a few details explaining what this is all about.
Breast Cancer Awareness Month (October) is an annual international health campaign organized by major companies every October to increase awareness of the disease and to raise funds for research into its cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure. The campaign also offers information and support to those affected by breast cancer.  The Pink Ribbon symbol was used in 1993 by Evelyn Lauder as the symbol of The Breast Cancer Research Fund she founded and is used to symbolize the fight against the disease.  We also honor those that have fought the battle and who are currently fighting the battle while raising awareness to ALL women to be aware of the symptoms and to be proactive against the disease.   Want to find out more?  The National Breast Cancer Foundation HERE for those in the US and globally at the PinkRibbon.org site HERE!
  • In 2011 Nearly 1.5 million women across the world were told they had breast cancer
  • One-third of breast cancer deaths can be decreased with early detection and treatment
  • In the US 1 out of 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer over their lifetime, an estimated 527 women are diagnosed in the US with breast cancer each day

Ok that's all from me and thank you for your sweet wonderful comments. Take it away Janiel :)
